The maternity hall was dark, labyrinthine and winding. The project sought to introduce more natural light and clarify the circulations.

The existing buildings were austere and orthogonal, we wanted to soften this harshness with a "curved cloud" that welcomes the arrivals. A canopy that floats on the few very thin stilts. The curve brings softness, its shape reminds us of the image of a pregnant woman's belly.

Through its reflective nature, the awning becomes a signal on Rue des Lombards, marking the entrance to the maternity ward.
